***To celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday last Saturday, Monday we made green eggs and ham!!!  Your children are all wonderful chefs!J  We had a lot of practice with cracking eggs and then someone else got to add the “special” ham and then the “magic” color!  All 20 eggs made it into the bowl with only a few shells in there so I call that very successful!!!😉

     ***Today was our Good News Party to celebrate awesome behavior these last 9 Weeks and a magician came to entertain us!!!

      

***The Family Rainbows can be sent in whenever they are completed, on or before next Friday, March 15^th.  These will also cover the project for April.  Thanks so much for all of your help at home and making it so much fun for your child to share with their friends every month!😊

Please keep in mind our classroom “Treasure Box” when you are doing your Spring Cleaning!  If you have any little toys, treats or any other type of little “goodie” that you have cleaned out or found cheap at a store, we would love to have them and put them to good use!  

        ***Today is the end of our 3^rd 9 Weeks and all grades will be entered by next Tuesday.  Please keep reviewing the alphabet, #’s 0-1-20, writing first and last names as well as all letters and numbers touching the lines, rhyming, counting to 75 (100 by the end of the year) and the popcorn words.  I have been testing the popcorn words (sight words:) from October, November and December and sending home a copy of your child’s progress in his/her folder.  Please keep those lists to continue to practicing them and I will be testing them periodically to keep you updated.  Extra reinforcement at home makes such an incredible difference so THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!  The sight word cards for extra practice have been sent home but please let me know if you need another set.Our rote counting goal is 75 this 9 weeks.  Extra practice at home makes a HUGE difference!  THANK YOU😊

Next week we will be continuing the Letter Pp, studying Letter Qq and doing a lot of activities with rhyming with Dr. Seuss!😀

***Today was the LAST DAY to donate to help the Make a Wish Foundation for this area with our THANKS TO YOU WISHES COME TRUE FUNDRAISER and get a chance to earn prizes and the BIG PRIZES of Movie Gift Cards!!! 

Each dollar brought in earns a raffle ticket and is a big help to

our local foundation!  A HUGE THANK YOU to all who donated!!!J      

           

Saturday, March 2^nd is Dr. Seuss' birthday so we will be celebrating and talking a lot about rhyming with all of his books.  I have sent out a Dr. Seuss Special Readers sign-up to come in and read your favorite Dr. Seuss book!  Please sign up for a time that works best for you and if you can’t find a spot, just let me know and we will work it in!J  You can either bring your favorite Dr. Seuss book to read, or you can choose one of mine to read!  Siblings are welcome to come along too!  The kids are so very excited for have special guest readers!!!J

          The kids are doing a wonderful job on their Popcorn Words!  I will continue checking them each week and send a progress sheet home so you can see how your child is doing.  Thanks so much for all of your hard work helping your child to learn our words that I have been sending home each month!  Extra reinforcement at home makes a tremendous difference!!!J
