***A HUGE THANKS to all of our chaperones who were able to join us today!!!  The kids had a FANTASTIC TIME on our field trip to the Science Center!  We couldn’t have done it without you!!!!!J  Be sure to ask your kiddo what they learned today!J

The last 2 weeks have been super busy with Easter and now with the field trip!  We will carry over letter Vv to next week and be talking more about volcanoes.  Thanks so much for all of your help at home completing the homework each week to practice handwriting and reinforcing our letters.  It makes a tremendous amount of difference!J

Please keep working on those popcorn words that have been introduced.  Extra practice is really needed since we have so many words to learn to get ready for 1^st Grade.  Thank you so very much!!!J

***Just to let you know, next week will be the last day we will be checking out library books.

Next week we will be studying letters Vv and Ww, talking about volcanoes and doing a lot of popcorn word practice.

***Just a reminder that today is the last day to turn in Jump Rope for Heart fundraising money!J

***Kindergarten Egg Hunt is on Wednesday, April 17^th  and that will also be an Early Dismissal Day at 2:00!!! 

Thanks so much to all of you that have already sent in your donations and helping to make this special event possible for our Kindergarteners!!!  If you have not sent in your eggs or candy, please have your donations in as soon as possible.  ThanksJ

***An Easter Basket can be sent to school to use for the hunt.  Please try to have it here by Tuesday, April 16^th for our hunt.  If not, your child can make a bag to use!J

***Science Center Field Trip Coming on April 26^th!***

***Today, April 12^th – Last Day To Turn In Money!!!***

***Along with the district policy, TODAY IS THE ABSOLUTE LAST DAY TO TURN IN MONEY FOR OUR FIELD TRIP ON FRIDAY, APRIL 26^TH OR YOU YOUR CHILD CANNOT COME WITH US!!!   Also, after today, WE CAN ONLY ACCEPT CASH, MONEY ORDERS or REV TRAK PAYMENT for any fees being paid and those will need to be paid before attending the field trip also.  (I just want to make sure that you all know about the early deadline because I would really hate for anyone to miss out on our special day!!!)

Our field trip to the St. Louis Science Center is coming up on Friday, April 26^th!!!  The permission slip has been sent home, so please let me know if you didn’t receive one.  The cost will be $5.00 because we will be attending a movie while we are there.  It will be an all day field trip so your child will need to bring a lunch and a drink for the day of the field trip.  If you would like to be a chaperone, our district policy requires you to provide a background check from the courthouse along with your $5.00.  That money and information was due today also.  You are welcome to drive also, but just to let you know, there will be a charge for parking there.  Payment for the field trip is due NO LATER THAN TODAY, APRIL 12^th.  Also, just a reminder that any fees owed to the school are required to be paid before going on the field trip or attend any end of the year activities.

***Next week we will be doing fun Easter & Spring Activities!J

Please remember that library dues for lost books, lunch money and all fees have to be paid in order for your child to be able to attend or field trip or any end of the year activities such as the Carnival.
